Savanna Cheree Maverick
President
My name is Savanna Maverick, and I pledged to Delta Eta chapter of Kappa Kappa Gamma in Fall of 2016 and graduated Spring of 2021. During my time as an active I served on various committees and held the position of New Member Chairman. I lived in the Kappa house for two years and loved being a member so much that I took a fifth collegiate year in Kappa! During my time as an alumnae I have served as the Chapter Liaison for the Salt Lake and Wasatch Mountains associations, Secretary for both associations, philanthropy for Salt Lake, and President for Wasatch Mountains. Kappa has loyally walked beside me through life since the day I joined. I’m so grateful for the opportunity to serve Kappa and continuously be connected to new friends, opportunities, and experiences because of it.

Philanthropy
I pledged the Epsilon Eta chapter of Kappa Kappa Gamma in 1996 at Auburn University. While an active, I was the activities chair, Intramural chair and represented my chapter for two years as a Rho Chi. After graduating, I attended the University of Utah to pursue a Masters of Education focused in secondary literacy. I quickly got involved with the Delta Eta chapter serving as an advisor for 10 years. I spent my of my time as the chapter council advisor, but also served as recruitment advisor and philanthropy advisor. Some of those years I was the advisory board chair, which gave me the opportunity to attend district meetings and convention several times. I eventually was nominated to be the Eta District Advisory Board Chair and served for two years in that position. Currently, I teach high school English and live with my husband, Josh and two boys, Cash and Duncan, in Midway, Utah. I am looking forward to serving on the Wasatch Mountains Alumni Association Board and honoring Kappa’s many philanthropic endeavors, especially the fraternity’s ideal to inspire positive change.
